What we collect - Account: name, e-mail address, mobile number, password (stored only as a secure hash). - Profile (optional): photo, bio, city, state, PIN code, approximate location, service branch. - Verification (optional): service branch, rank, retirement year and the last four characters of your service/PPO number. The proof document you upload is deleted after review. - Usage and security: login sessions, device type, app version, IP address, and a security log of important actions. - Content you create: listings, job applications, feedback, support tickets. Why we use it To run your account and keep it secure, show you relevant nearby content (only if you allow location), let members connect, process payments, prevent fraud and misuse, handle grievances and meet legal obligations. Consent We ask for your consent for community visibility, location and promotional messages separately. You can withdraw any of these at any time under Settings > Privacy without affecting your account. Sharing We do not sell personal data. Your contact details are shown to other members only if you choose. We share data with service providers that help us operate (for example, hosting and notification delivery) under contract, and with authorities where required by law. Storage and security Data is stored on servers in India that we control, encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and protected by access controls. Media is kept in private storage and shared only through short-lived links. Retention We keep data while your account is active. After you delete your account we remove or anonymise personal data, except records we must keep by law (for example, payment and audit records), which are retained only for the legally required period. Your rights You can access and download your data, correct it, withdraw consent, and request deletion from Settings > Privacy. You can raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer through Help & Support. Personal data breaches If a breach affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law. Children FaujiRishta is intended for adults (18+).
